Supporters of Durga Prasai clash with Police in Balkhu, Tear gas fired

KATHMANDU, Nov 23: The demonstrators of the ‘Great Campaign to save the Nation, Nationalism, Religion, Culture and Citizens’ under Durga Prasai, have clashed with the Police at Balkhu in Kathmandu. Police have also fired tear gases upon the demonstrators.

The two sides clashed after police stopped the demonstrators, who tried to head towards Kalimati even though Balkhu had been designated as their demonstration site. Police have also attacked the demonstrators with water cannons.

Police have held back the demonstrators at Balkhu, and even seized the keys of the vehicles of the demonstrators who are trying to head towards Kalimati.

Earlier, there were clashes between the Youth Association cadres and the Prasai group in the same place, at Balkhu.
