Doctor attacked in Sinamangal

KATHMANDU, Oct 1: There has been another case of assault on doctors in Sinamangal. A doctor named Manish Khadka was attacked by a patient's relative at Kathmandu Medical College.

According to the police, there was a dispute between the doctors and the patient's side during the patient's checkup. Dr. Khadka was beaten up for allegedly not examining the patient on time.

The police have arrested two people on charge of being involved in the assault. Among the arrested are Rupak Gautam, a resident of Gulmi currently living in Chabahil, and Saroj Gautam, currently living in Sinamangal.

Health workers of the hospital have taken to the streets protesting against the attack on the doctor. Just this Saturday, there had been an agreement between the government and the doctors to restrain and take action against the attacks on health workers.
