EBRD affirms commitment to support Tunisia
TUNIS, Sep 29: The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) was committed to continuing its technical and financial support for Tunisia to advance its reforms, said Nodira Mansurova, the institution's investment and operational chief in Tunisia, on Friday.
Mansurova made the remarks during her meeting with Tunisian Prime Minister Ahmed Hachani at the ministry headquarters in the capital Tunis, according to a statement released by the Tunisian government.
The EBRD official highlighted the bank's outstanding cooperation with Tunisia, particularly in the areas of infrastructure and development.
For his part, Hachani praised the EBRD's efforts to support Tunisia mainly in economy, finance and technology.
The EBRD support will also cover the green economy, energy, environment, economic and social rights of women, youth, and marginalized groups, according to the statement.
