Activists to protest against Balen in front of National Assembly for 77 hours

KATHMANDU, Sep 19: Activist Ishan Shrestha has launched a protest against the Kathmandu Metropolitan City and Mayor Balen Shah.

Ishan has announced that he will stand in front of the Mayor's Office at National Assembly Hall and protest for 77 hours.

He has been standing in front of the National Assembly Hall since 1 pm on Tuesday and has announced to protest until 6 pm on Friday.

Ishan said that he had no choice but to protest as Balen did not arrange the alternatives for street vendors as he promised during the election.

He has been demanding the Metropolitan City to arrange alternatives for street vendors for a while. Under his leadership, activists have been protesting against the Metropolitan City under the slogan "No one speaks for the poor's side".
