Parking fees made free of cost in Pashupati area

Pashupati Area Development Trust terminates contract

KATHMANDU, Sep 19: The parking inside the Pashupati area has been made free of cost because of disputes in parking fees as well as due amounts.

The Pashupati Area Development Trust has terminated its contract with Tattva Investments Pvt Ltd, which had been entrusted with parking management, for not paying more than 4.1 million dues and the irregularity in parking charges.

Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Sudan Kirati, informed through social media that there was not only irregularity but also a serious violation of the law in the bus park.

"The contract has been terminated due to irregularities and serious violations of law in the Pashupatinath Bus Park. We inform that the fee for parking is free of cost until the next process is complete."

The Trust had already broken its contract with Tattva Investment on the 7th of September. A 5-year agreement had been signed between the Trust and the company for the management of parking.
