One more arrested in Gairigaun murder case

KATHMANDU, Sep 17: The police have arrested one more suspect on the charge of murdering four people in Gairigaun, Tinkune, Kathmandu.

The suspect in the case was arrested on Sunday for further investigation, a senior officer of the Valley Police Office informed. The Police have not disclosed the identity of the suspect.

This comes after the arrest of another suspect named Dipendra Rai, who lives in the same house as the victims. An investigation committee has been formed to conduct an investigation into the case.

The aforementioned suspect was found to have gone to Pepsicola from Koteshwor with a bag. An official involved in the investigation told Ratopati that a CCTV footage caught him arriving at Khahare in Pepsicola.

Four people were murdered in Gairigaun last night with the use of sharp weapons at Dibya Sawmill in Tinkune. Three of the four victims were found to be from the same family.

The victims are Kumar Bhujel, 56, of Dolakha who was working as a gatekeeper in the sawmill, his wife Ambika Bhujel, 52, Kumar's mother, Shubhadra Bhujel,76, and Nabin Rai, age 20, originally from Belbari in Morang.

Their bodies were found in the sawmill with injuries from sharp weapons on different parts of their bodies including their head.
