4 arrested for assault on doctor

MAKAWANPUR, Sep 14: Police have arrested four people for assaulting doctors of the Sancho Hospital located in Hetauda.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Laxmi Bhandari, the spokesperson of the District Police Office Makawanpur, the arrested are Anup Pradhan, Rohit Pradhan, Rama Pradhan and Ramita Pradhan.

Regarding the matter of the death of 41-year-old Rajesh Pradhan on the 10th of August in Chitwan, who was referred to the hospital in Chitwan after initial treatment at Sancho Hospital, the doctors of Sancho Hospital, Dr. Bikas Thapa and Dr. Prashant Bidari were beaten up on Wednesday.

The doctors had warned of a phased protest against the assault on doctors on duty inside the hospital.

The police have arrested four people involved in the assault and have started the necessary investigation process. According to the District Police Office Makwanpur, the four arrested are members of the deceased Pradhan's family.
