16 people arrested for dumping garbage in Koteshwor road, fined Rs 72,000

KATHMANDU, Sep 13: The Kathmandu Metropolitan has arrested 16 people involved in dumping garbage on the roads of Koteshwor. The team of the Metropolitan Police Force took control of the 16 people, who went to throw the garbage in Koteshwor on Wednesday morning.
The Police fined the 16 people and then released them. The Metropolitan Police Force informed that they were fined Rs 72,000.
The metropolitan said that garbage collection vehicles reach every house after 6 am every day, but still, people throw garbage on the road, which is wrong. The Metropolitan requested to follow the law and keep the city clean and healthy.
