RPP to demonstrate against cow slaughter on Sep 13

KATHMANDU, Sep 11: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has announced to demonstrate a protest against cow slaughter on September 13.

In a press conference held at the party's central office, RPP announced that it would hold a movement in Kathmandu against the killing of the national animal. Various religious associations and organisations are also reported to participate in the movement.

Speaking at the press conference, RPP Spokesperson Gyan Bahadur Shahi responded to the Prime Minister's statement, that he would take the people to the streets, by saying that his days of movements are over.

He asked the Prime Minister to do his work if possible and to resign and stay at home if not. He added that they would show how to conduct a movement.

Shahi also said that all the nationalist forces are united in the matter of nationalism and secularism. He also accused that the faith of Hindus was attacked and claimed that extremists and terrorists were trying to destroy the Hindu religion and that he would take care of them.

Spokesperson Shahi added that they were protecting religion and culture and said that they are not extremists for protecting religion and culture.
