Nepal Congress condemns attack on Deputy General Secretary Yadav

KATHMANDU, Sep 6: The Nepal Congress has condemned the fatal attack on Mahendra Yadav, the Deputy General Secretary of the party.

The Chief Secretary of the Congress Party Office, Krishna Prasad Paudel, issued a press release that reads: "Nepal Congress strongly condemns this incident. He is currently being treated at the Trauma Centre in Kathmandu after being attacked while leaving the program in Reporters Club."

Yadav was attacked when he was exiting from a programme organised at the Reporters Club in Bhrikutimandap. He is now undergoing treatment at the Trauma Centre in Kathmandu. 

The NC has strongly demanded the government to carry out an investigation into the case and take stern action against those involved in the incident. The party wished Yadav a speedy recovery.
