Illegal structures removed

Myagdi, Sep 5: Beni Municipality of Myagdi district has removed the structures built illegally in the district headquarters. The unmanaged and haphazard structures set up along the road at Beni Bazaar were demolished at the local level.

Mayor Surat KC informed that the structures set up by encroaching upon public space were demolished so that it would help reduce road accidents. Given the rising accidents, the municipality took this move, he added.

On Monday, two structures having shops were removed. Now the public space occupied by such haphazard structures will be used for the parking lot. It will further help manage market areas and ease people's movement, according to KC.

Earlier, the huts and houses set up on public spaces near the municipality office, District Administration Office, and Kalipul bus park were dismantled at the local level. The space created at Kalipul has now been used as a bus park.
