Foreign Employment Department takes action against illegal manpower

KATHMANDU, Aug 16: The Department of Foreign Employment has taken action against two manpower businessmen who were operating foreign employment businesses without a license.

The two manpower businessmen were fined Rs 200 thousand each by the Department in accordance with the Foreign Employment Act 2064 for operating without a license.

The Capital Recruitment Services and Eagle Manpower Consultants were found advertising to send people abroad for foreign employment through social media. They were also collecting passports from people without permission.

Similarly, the Department is also monitoring two manpower companies of Lalitpur, Suyan Education Pvt Ltd and Elite to Work Human Resources Hospitality and Training Centre, which are misleading the general public through social media.

The Department of Foreign Employment has informed that it is conducting further investigation by monitoring the site and taking control of the necessary documents.

The Department has also urged those applying for foreign employment not to believe in misleading advertisements on social media. It has also requested everyone not to post information on social media that are against the law.
