392 nursing applications for employment in UK

KATHMANDU, Aug 9: So far, 392 nurses have applied for foreign employment in the United Kingdom.

Per the agreement between Nepal and the UK, the Department of Foreign Employment had called for applications from nurses.

The Director General of the Department, Madan Dahal, informed that 392 people had applied for employment online. Ten of them have been approved by the Department so far.

Both governments are planning to send a hundred nurses in the first phase of the project. If the pilot project is successful, more nurses will be sent in the future.

For this project, the Department has made an arrangement to apply through a separate online portal of the Department. Nurses who have fulfilled the criteria for the job can apply. The deadline for the application is 19 October 2023.
