SC orders not to proceed with Hetauda road expansion
KATHMANDU, July 26: The Supreme Court has issued a short-term interim order not to proceed with the road expansion of the Hetauda Bazar section under the East-West Highway. According to the debate held on Monday on the writ petition filed by Bijaylal Joshi, the Supreme Court has given the short-term interim order.
In the case filed by Joshi in the Supreme Court on July 20, the bench of Justice Anil Kumar Sinha made the order by demanding a written reply within 15 days from the Ministry, regarding road expansion.
Senior advocate Yuvaraj Bhandari argued on behalf of the petitioner Joshi in the case where the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport was made the opposition.
As stated in the writ petition that it is not in accordance with the order issued earlier by the court, it has been ordered to take a complete or certified copy of all the works done during the road expansion and submit the petition to the date of August 1.
