5 arrested for killing sambar deer in Kakrebihar forest

SURKHET, July 12: Police have taken 5 people accused of killing a Sambar deer inside Kankrevihar Protected Forest in custody. They were arrested from Naya Gaun of Birendranagar while they were dividing the meat.

On the basis of secret information about a sambar deer being killed, the police reached the spot around 3:30 in the morning. The names of those arrested have not been made public as other people were also involved in the incident. 

Kakrevihar is a tourist area as well as a protected forest.
