International Literature Festival Week at Premier International IB Continuum School

KATHMANDU, July 4: The International Literature Festival Week at Premier International IB Continuum School took place from June 25th to 30th. The week was filled with various programs for students from Pre-School to Grade 10, including storytelling sessions, literature-based activities, workshops, interactive sessions, and panel discussions.

One of the highlights of the week was an interaction between Grade 6 students and senior writer Maya Thakuri, who shared her experiences and inspired young minds with her knowledge of Nepali literature. The students also explored Nepali culture and language through drama performances.

Grade 8 students had an insightful session with folk storyteller Pravin Adhikari, who emphasized the importance of folk tales and helped students understand the uniqueness of this literary form. Grade 1 students had the privilege of hearing author Pawitra Limbu narrate stories.

Grade 9 students performed a play under the guidance of renowned theater actor-teacher Sujan Oli, providing them with hands-on experience in storytelling and deepening their understanding of different literary genres. Theater actor and screenplay writer Puru Lamsal also provided guidance and had an in-depth discussion about drama elements.

The Closing Day of the festival included showcases of the students' singing and dancing talents, felicitations, author interactions, and panel discussions. The event also featured the Book Bus of the American Embassy and a festival of food.

The Festival Week also welcomed the community and public schools, further enriching the literary experience for a wider audience. Premier International IB Continuum School is committed to this annual celebration for its students, staff, parents, and wider society.
