Monsoon to enter Nepal on Tuesday

KATHMANDU, June 11: It has been predicted that the temperature will drop starting Tuesday. Climate and Disaster expert Dr. Dharmaraj Upreti informed that there is a possibility that there will be a change in Nepal’s climate and the heat will decrease from Tuesday due to the effects of the Biparjoy storm that developed in the Arabian Sea and the low-pressure effect that developed in the Bay of Bengal.

He said that the monsoon is likely to enter Nepal on Tuesday or Wednesday as the two systems will help push the monsoon air toward the north.

Monsoon has reached all parts of Kerala, some parts of Karnataka and east and north of the Bay of Bengal today. According to India Meteorological Department, Monsoon will be more active in these parts in the next 48 hours.

It is said that the heat will decrease in Nepal as the rapidly active monsoon will be pushed towards Nepal by the Arabian Sea storm and the low-pressure condition in the Bay of Bengal.

Due to local air, the heat in Kathmandu Valley has decreased a little today.
