Heavy rainfall in most places of country including Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, April 29: According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, it has been raining in most parts of the country, including the capital Kathmandu Valley, due to the influence of the westerly winds along with the local winds.

According to Govinda Kumar Jha, meteorologist of the division, there has been light rain with thunder and lightning in Kathmandu for the past two hours. At present, light rain is falling in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Sudurpaschim and Karnali Provinces. 

Jha said that the influence of westerly winds and local winds will bring rain today and tomorrow. There is also a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning in the hilly areas of the country during the night.
