Newly appointed CM Pandey makes 4 decisions

POKHARA, April 28: Gandaki Province's newly appointed Chief Minister Surendra Raj Pandey has made 4 decisions after assuming office on Friday. The cabinet meeting held after Pandey assumed office, made 4 decisions.

The meeting decided to make the service provided by the Transport Management Office technology-friendly. According to the decision of the Cabinet, a task force has been formed to study and submit a report with suggestions within 15 days regarding the necessary improvements to speed up the driver's license distribution process.

The task force has been constituted of the Secretary Coordinator of the Office of the Chief Minister and the Cabinet, the Secretary Member of the Coordination Division of the Chief Minister's Office, the Secretary Member of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Chief Member Secretary of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development and Physical Infrastructure and Transport System.

The meeting has also decided to give up to 100 percent subsidy on electricity tariff of lifting irrigation scheme for increasing the production and productivity of the agricultural sector in Gandaki province.

Similarly, Saraswati Aryal Tiwari, who became a minister from the Congress, has been appointed as the spokesperson of the Council of Ministers.

Tiwari took the oath of office and secrecy along with Chief Minister Pandey on Friday.

The three-member Cabinet has paid respect and heartfelt tributes to all the known and unknown martyrs who died heroic deaths in all kinds of people's movements for the attainment of democracy.
