RSP Chairman Rabi Lamichhane victorious second time from Chitwan-2
KATHMANDU, April 25: The vote counting of Chitwan Constituency No. 2 has ended. The vote counting that began on Monday afternoon ended on Tuesday afternoon. Rashtriya Swatantra Party Chairman Rabi Lamichhane has emerged victorious in the by-elections in Chitwan-2.
After all the 78, 277 votes cast in Chitwan 2 were counted, it has been confirmed that Lamichhane got 54,176 votes. Similarly, Jit Narayan Shrestha of the Nepali Congress got 11,214 votes and Ram Prasad Neupane of CPN-UML got 10,936 votes.
Lamichhane has broken his previous record in the vote counting by getting more votes than in the election held on November 20. In the last election, he won by getting 49 thousand 300 votes.
With the victory of RSP in the by-elections in Tanahun-1 as well, one seat will be added for RSP in the parliament.
