Police arrest 77 people in sweep operation on fraud and sex-related activities in New Bus park

KATHMANDU, April 6: The police conducted a sweep operation on Wednesday night in New Buspark area, Kathmandu, to crack down on individuals involved in fraudulent and sex-related activities. The operation resulted in the arrest of 77 people, including 36 females and 41 males, who were operating guest houses, Dohori, Dance Bar, Nightclubs, and restaurants in Tokha Municipality-26 and 9.

The police targeted establishments suspected of facilitating illegal activities and conducted a thorough investigation before making the arrests. The sweep operation is part of an ongoing effort by the police to eradicate illegal businesses and fraudulent activities in the area.

The arrested individuals will face legal action, and the police have warned others involved in illegal activities to stop or face similar consequences. The police have urged the public to cooperate with them in their efforts to maintain law and order in the city.
