5 poachers arrested with vehicle, weapons and cash from Parsa National Park

BARA: A patrol unit of Parsa National Park has taken 5 people in control from the core area of the National Park. The unit took control of the people during wildlife poaching who were engaged in poaching with preparations.

According to the park, the 5 poachers were taken into custody along with 2,90,670 cash, Landcruiser and Bolero vehicles, dead female elk, a male elk horn, a 12-bore gun, 1 round of 12-bore bullets, 2 weapon bags, other weapons documents, Night vision camera, telescope, rubber telescope, battery compartment, torch light, 3 mobile phones (iPhone), alcohol and other documents.

According to Parsa National Park, the people involved in poaching were 57-year-old Damodar Adhikari of Kavrepalanchok district Savik, 46-year-old Bishal Sahni of Bara district, 37-year-old Kapas Das Tharu of Bara Prasauni-1, 44-year-old Navaraj Basnet of Bara Sakhuwa Prasauni, and 52-year-old Maldong Tamang.

Based on the information received on Monday night, the team led by Ranger Bishnu Paudel of the Park managed to arrest five people involved in poaching along with the settlement goods after about 4 hours of hard work.

According to the Park, this is the second incident in Parsa National Park in which poachers have been arrested with such a large amount of goods for poaching. 

Earlier, there was a double firing of the park army with wildlife hunters in the Makwanpur area. 

Ranger Bishnu Paudel has stated that investigation and action will be taken in accordance with the Parks and Wildlife Protection Act 2029 in the incident that happened on Monday night.
