Four parties on discussion after alliance breaks regarding Vice Presidency

KATHMANDU, March 14: The top four parties of the ruling coalition are having a discussion regarding the Vice President at the Prime Minister's office, Baluwatar. The parties involved in the discussion are CPN Maoist Center, Nepali Congress, Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP), and CPN Unified Socialist.

After the 10-party alliance broke down regarding the matter of the Vice Presidency, the four parties have begun a discussion. In the Vice Presidential election to be held on March 17, Ashta Laxmi Shakya is a candidate from UML, Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav is from JSP, while Mamata Jha has filed her candidacy from Janamat Party.

JSP candidate Yadav has the support of the CPN Maoist Center, Nepali Congress and CPN Unified Socialist as well.

Meanwhile, Loktantrik Samajbadi Party and Nagarik Unmukti Party are supporting Janamat Party candidate Jha.
