Ram Chandra Poudel  to be sworn in as Nepal's New President today

KATHMANDU, March 13: Nepal's newly elected president, Ram Chandra Poudel, is scheduled to take an oath of office and secrecy today.

According to the country's Constitution, the President must take the oath before assuming office.

Poudel won a resounding victory in the election, securing 214 votes from the House of Representatives and 352 votes from the Provincial Assemblies. His closest rival, Subhash Chandra Nembang of the CPN-UML, received significantly fewer votes.

Poudel's inauguration is expected to mark the start of a new era for Nepal, and many are optimistic about his ability to lead the country towards progress and development.
