Kathmandu ranked second most polluted city in the world

KATHMANDU, March 8: Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, has been ranked as the second most polluted city in the world, according to IQAir. The air quality in Kathmandu reached a record high of 234 US IQI, which is nine times higher than the criteria set by the World Health Organization (WHO). Other areas in Nepal, such as Bhaktapur, Kirtipur, and Narayani, also recorded high levels of pollution.

The government of Nepal must take immediate action to address the issue of air pollution in the country. The high levels of pollution are a cause of concern for the citizens and the environment. The government must work towards implementing measures to reduce pollution levels and promote a healthier living environment.

Overall, the high levels of pollution in Kathmandu and other areas in Nepal highlight the urgency of addressing the issue of air pollution in the country. The government and citizens must work together to implement sustainable measures to combat air pollution and promote a healthier living environment.
