Six arrested on charge of setting fire on police van, vandalizing temporary office and traffic island at Balaju
KATHMANDU, Feb 15: The police have arrested six people on charge of setting fire and vandalizing police vans, temporary office and traffic island at Balaju and made them public on Wednesday.
According to SSP Dhan Bahadur Karki of District Police Office, Kathmandu, the arrestees were among those staging protests at Balaju on Monday.
The arrestees have been identified as Bikram Rai of Udayapur, Ram Hari Bhandari of Nuwakot, Bibek Shrestha of Lamjung, Rajesh Tamang of Kavre, Dipendra Pun Magar of Pyuthan and Ashish Khadka of Kavre. They have been temporarily living in Kathmandu.
The police are currently investigating the case as per the law.
Likewise, the police are also interrogating 10 others who could be involved in the case.
