Nepal Medical Association halts all the hospital services except for emergency

KATHMANDU, Feb 12: The Nepal Medical Association has announced to halt all the hospital services except for emergencies.

A central executive meeting of the association held on Monday took a decision to this effect.

The association took the decision to halt all the services in a protest against police assault. Earlier, a medical personnel of National Trauma Center was assaulted by police personnel mobilized during President Bidya Devi Bhandari’s convoy.

All sort of health services except emergencies will be halted for a day on Sunday in all the government, private, medical hospitals and other health institutes, reads the press statement of the association.
