Speaker Ghimire and Chinese Ambassador meet

KATHMANDU, Feb. 8: A meeting was held between Speaker Devraj Ghimire and the Chinese Ambassador for Nepal Chen Song. According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, during the meeting at the Speaker's office at Singha Darbar, bilateral friendly relations, exchange of parliamentary activities, and other issues were discussed.
On that occasion, Speaker Ghimire expressed Nepal's commitment towards the 'One China Policy' and praised China's support during the Covid-19 pandemic. Ghimire said that China's support for reconstruction following the Nepal earthquake was also memorable and expressed his faith that it will help in opening the border crossings between the two countries. The Chinese Ambassador Song gave his best wishes for the success of Ghimire's tenure.
On the occasion, the Chinese ambassador handed over a congratulatory message sent by Li Zhansu, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China, to Speaker Ghimire.
