Domestic flights fares decrease

KATHMANDU, Jan. 9: The Airlines Operators Association, an organization of airline companies, has adjusted domestic flight fares. Nepal Oil Corporation has reduced the domestic aviation fuel price by 20 rupees, following the adjustment of prices by the companies.
Earlier, the airline companies kept the flight fares too high claiming the high cost of air fuel. However, due to strong opposition, the corporation adjusted the price of aviation fuel with effect from today. Along with this, the association has stated that all types of domestic flight fares have been adjusted.
With this, the price of aviation fuel has remained at Rs 170 per liter which was earlier Rs 190 per liter. According to the association, the price of regular and chartered flights has decreased along with the decrease in the price of air fuel. Among these, the price of Kathmandu-Dhangadhi has decreased the most. According to the association, the Kathmandu-Dhangadhi flight fare has decreased by Rs 885.
Likewise, the fare of Kathmandu-Nepalgunj has decreased by Rs 655, while the fare of Kathmandu-Bhadrapur has decreased by Rs 600. Similarly, the fare of Kathmandu-Surkhet has decreased by 690 rupees.
