Shalikram Jamarkatel as Leader of Maoist parliamentary party in Bagmati, Sahayatri left the meeting
MAKAWANPUR, Dec. 31: Shalikram Jamarkatel has been selected as the leader of the parliamentary party of Bagmati province of the Maoist Center. In a discussion held at a Party Palace in Kathmandu on Saturday, Provincial MP Kumari Moktan informed that Jamraktel's name was put forward as the leader of the party. After Jamarkatel's name was presented as the leader of the parliamentary party, Saral Sahayatri left the meeting room and walked away.
MP Sahyatri also claimed to be the leader of the party. Party President Pushpa Kamal Dahal instructed that there should be no election to make the leader of the parliamentary party, but it should be decided by consensus. Maoist leaders Hitman Shakya, Narayan Dahal, and others were deployed to get consensus after Prachanda's directive.
Provincial MP Sahayatri, who had been demanding the election of the leader of the parliamentary party, has expressed his displeasure with the party's decision. He has made public his displeasure through social media that Jamarkatel was made the leader of the party in the name of consensus.
He said that a game is won by healthy competition. He claimed that a game is won even if you cheat, but the heart is not won, and nothing is won until the heart is won. He expressed that he is a runner who has been kicking up the dust even though he has fallen down, or rather dragged down countless times.
MP Sahyatri was elected from Sindhupalchok.
