Deadline given by President Expired
Ruling Coalition collapsed, New Coalition Government in place
Kathmandu - According to Article 76, Clause 2 of the Constitution, the time limit given by the President to submit claims for the formation of the government has expired at 5:00 pm today.
Shortly before the end of the scheduled time, Chairman of Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' and UML President KP Sharma Oli reached President's office 'Sheetal Niwas'. With the collapse of the alliance with the Congress for the new government, a government with the UML became certain to be formed under the leadership of Prachanda, somehow dramatically.
Before going to Sheetal Niwas, Prachanda, Oli, and other leaders discussed with RPP, National Independent Party, JSP Nepal, and other parties to get a majority at Oli's Balkot residence.
After it became clear that the small parties would show their support and it was sure to get a majority in the discussion, Prachanda and Oli reached Sheetal Niwas with the majority claim according to the decision of the same meeting.
