HoR election reports submitted to President Bhandari

KATHMANDU, Dec 15: Reports of the general election held recently on November 20 has been submitted to President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Thursday.

Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya submitted the report to President Bhandari amid an event at the President's Office Resident this morning.

According to the report, 165 people have been elected members of HoR under the first-past-the-post (FPTP) system and 110 under the proportional representation (PR) electoral systems. 

Likewise, the reports with results of province assembly members would be submitted to the concerned province chiefs on December 17, according to the poll body. 

The name list of elected HoR and PA members would be published in the national gazette after submission of the reports to the President and Province Chiefs. 

As per the election results report prepared by the EC, a total of 825 individuals including 275 members in the HoR and 550 members in the Province Assemblies have been elected from the November 20 elections.
