Proportional Representation System: UML’s vote surpasses 2.3 million
KATHMANDU, Nov 27: The counting of votes casted during the simultaneous voting held earlier on Sunday for the elections of the members of the House of Representatives and Province Assemblies under the Proportional Representation System is currently underway across the country.
According to the latest vote updates made available by the Election Commission, the CPN (UML) leads the counts tally as it has so far obtained 2,300,896 votes under the Proportional Representation System.
The Nepali Congress is in the second position with 2,201,794 votes followed by the CPN (Maoist Centre) with 965,345 votes.
Similarly, the Rastriya Swatantra Party has so far secured 921,760 votes followed by the Rastriya Prajatantra Party with 486,297 votes, the Janata Samajbadi Party with 287,477 votes, the Janamat Party with 221,427 votes, and the CPN ( Unified Socialist) with 220,528 votes.
