Govt to provide compensation of Rs two million if any temporary police mobilized during local election dies

KATHMANDU, May 8: The government has decided to provide a compensation of Rs two million if any security personnel mobilized during the upcoming local level election dies during the election.

A Cabinet meeting held earlier on Sunday took a decision to this effect.

Likewise, the government has also decided to bear treatment costs if any security personnel sustain injuries during the polls.
