Man drowns while bathing in Madi river in Tanahun

Damauli, October 13 — A 40-year-old man, Narayan Pokharel from Gaindakot Municipality-2 in Nawalpur, drowned today while bathing in the Madi River in Shyamgha, Byas Municipality-6.
According to Inspector Munendra Thapa from the District Police Office, Pokhrel's body was found one kilometer downstream from where he was swept away by the river.
He had come to visit relatives during Dashain when the incident occurred.
Local residents and police conducted a search and successfully recovered his body.
