Nepal clinches Tri-T20 series title

KATHMANDU, April 4: Nepal thrashed Papua New Guinea (PNG) by 50 runs in the finals of the Tri-T20 series match on Monday.

Invited to bat first, Nepal had set a target of 169 runs for PNG to win the title. However, PNG was limited to 118 runs, losing all its wickets in 16 overs and one ball.

Nepal remained undefeated throughout the series and clinched the title.

The series was played between three countries – Nepal, PNG and Malaysia.

It is the first such series that Nepal played under the captaincy of Sandip Lamichhane.
