Tri-T20 Series Final: Nepal sets a target of 169 runs for the title
KATHMANDU, April 4: Nepal set a target of 169 runs for PNG to win the title in the final match of the tri-t20 series on Monday.
Invited to bat first in the match being held at Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground, Nepal scored 168 runs in the loss of six wickets.
Dipendra Singh Airee scored a half-century of 54 runs that included five fours. With this, Airee has completed 1,000 runs in T-20 International Cricket. Likewise, Karan KC contributed 33 runs in 12 which included five fours and one maximum.
Similarly, Kushal Bhurtel scored 25 runs while Rohit Paudel was limited to two runs. Aasif Sheikh hit 26 runs while Aarif Sheikh could not score a single run.
Nepal, which remained undefeated throughout the series, is looking forward to clinching victory.
It is the first such series that Nepal played under the captaincy of Sandip Lamichhane.
PNG has already been defeated twice by Nepal in the match played earlier between the two countries.
