Members of ruling coalition decide to form an electoral alliance in Chitwan

KATHMANDU, April 4: Members of the ruling coalition have decided to form an electoral alliance in all the local units in Chitwan district including Bharatpur Metropolitan city in the upcoming local polls.

The CPN (Maoist Center) has claimed the post of Mayor in Bharatpur Metropolis. However, the coalition members are yet to make a decision in this regard.

A meeting of the coalition members held at Nepali Congress Party Office at Chitwan on Monday took a decision to form an electoral alliance in all local units in the upcoming local level election.

The coalition members are now preparing a joint strategy for the same.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Center), CPN-UML and Rastriya Janamorcha Party.

Chitwan district comprises seven local units.
