Transport entrepreneurs warn of transport fare hike from March 21

KATHMANDU, March 13: Public transport entrepreneurs have warned of public transport fare hike from March 21 if the government fails to take effective measures against the increase of the price of petroleum products in the country.

They have warned that they would decide on the matter themselves if the government failed to address their demand by March 21.

Earlier, the public transport fare was revised on October 13, 2021.

Speaking during a press conference in Kathmandu, Yogendra Nath Karmacharya, President of the Federation of Nepalese National Transport Entrepreneurs (FNNTE) said they would be compelled to adjust the price on their own if the government did not respond to their call by March 21.
