IN PICS: Civilians leave in first successful mass evacuation

March 8: Some 5,000 people have been evacuated from the north-eastern city of Sumy, which was under fierce Russian bombardment for days.

A humanitarian corridor that was opened on Tuesday is set to continue on Wednesday, says Sumy's governor.

Moscow has announced another humanitarian ceasefire for cities including Kyiv and Mariupol.

The UN says two million refugees have fled the country since Russia invaded.
