Following UML obstruction, HoR meeting put off for Sunday (with photos)
KATHMANDU, Feb 18: Following the obstruction by the main opposition party, CPN-UML, the House of Representatives (HoR) meeting has been postponed for February 20 (Sunday).
Soon after the Speaker of the House, Agni Prasad Sapkota began the House proceeding, the UML lawmakers began obstructing the House session, chanting slogans.
Amid sloganeering UML lawmakers, Speaker Sapkota, granted permission to the Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Dilendra Badu to present the report of the Indigenous Nationalities Commission (INC) on the behalf of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.
The next meeting of parliament has been scheduled for 1 PM, Sunday.
