Schools, night businesses, restaurants, cinema halls allowed to operate from today

KATHMANDU, Feb 13: As the number of new daily COVID-19 cases declines, the government has decided to lift certain restrictions imposed earlier to curb the spread of the disease.

Schools, night businesses, restaurants, cinema halls, dance bars, clubs and swimming pools that were earlier closed due to surge in COVID-19 cases are allowed to resume their services from Sunday.

While resuming classes in schools, the schools can conduct regular physical education for students older than 12 years and have to conduct classes on shift for those who are younger than 12 years, according to the guidelines of the COVID-19 Crisis Management Committee (CCMC).

Likewise, while conducting tournaments and games, only 50 percent of the audience of the total seat capacity will be allowed in the stadium.

Besides, proper COVID-19 safety protocols are mandatory in every field.
