Over 1,700 COVID-19 cases, nine deaths in 24 hours

KATHMANDU, Feb 5: The country has recorded 1,714 COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, which is on a downward spiral as compared to preceding days.
Likewise, nine infected people died of the contagion in the same period. With this, the death toll from the virus has hit 11,803.
The caseloads were from the total 8,531 tests, according to the latest COVID-19 update released by the Ministry of Health and Population on Saturday.
The number of active infection cases has hit 52,780. So far, 900,639 infected people have got over the virus with 4,771 in the past 24 hours.
