KATHMANDU, Jan 29: The Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal has maintained that the party is ready to face the local level election in Baishakh (April/ May).

Speaking at the national gathering of the Civil Servants Association, considered close to the CPN (US), Chairman Nepal stated that the party is ready to face the local level election any time.

During his address, Chair Nepal also accused Chairman of CPN-UML, KP Sharma Oli of doing his best to break and bring down the ruling alliance.

“Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and other members of the ruling alliance had remained firm on continuing the alliance in the upcoming election as well,” Nepal added.

At the times when the main opposition party and the Election Commission are making calls to hold the local level elections in Baishakh (April/May), the ruling alliance has been discussing time and again to hold the election of all the three tiers of government at the same time.

The poll body has also asked the government to announce the date for the local level election as soon as possible.
