Acharya appointed Nepal's ambassador to UK

KATHMANDU, Jan 28: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has appointed Gyan Chandra Acharya as the Resident Ambassador of Nepal to the United Kingdom.

President Bhandari appointed him in accordance with Article 282 of the Constitution of Nepal at the recommendation of the Council of Ministers, the Office of the President has stated.

The government, earlier on September 21, had decided to recall the then ambassador Lok Darshan Regmi. 

Along with Acharya, the government on October 28 had recommended Dr Shankar Sharma as the ambassador to India and Shreedhar Khatri to the USA.
