KATHMANDU, Jan 27: Chairman of CPN-UML, KP Sharma Oli recently attended a public event when he was still infected with the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

A youth association considered close to Chairman Oli organized a blood donation program at Bhaktapur on Wednesday.

Oli had undergone a Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test on Saturday. The report that came out on Sunday showed that Oli is still infected with the disease.

Mahesh Basnet, In-charge of the Youth Association Nepal  and a member of parliament, claimed that Oli attended the program to encourage the youths for blood donation maintaining proper social distance measures. However, the pictures taken at the event tell a different story. Participants are seen defying the social distancing measures largely.
