Ruling alliance’s Timilsina, Poudel elected NA member from Bagmati Province
KATHMANDU, Jan 26: Both the candidates fielded by the ruling alliance have emerged victorious as the National Assembly (NA) from Bagmati Province.
In the election held on Wednesday, Goma Devi Timilsina (Female category) and Krishna Prasad Poudel (Others) were elected the NA members for the next six years.
While Timilsina belongs to the CPN (Unified Socialist), Poudel is from the Nepali Congress (NC).
Timilsina secured votes weighing 4,824 against 4,362 vote weightage secured by CPN-UML’s Niru Kumari Kunwar.
Poudel, on the other hand, garnered a vote weightage of 4,794. His nearest rival UML’s Gopal Shakya managed to secure 4,344 vote weightage.
