Voting kicks off in Madhesh Province

KATHMANDU, Jan 26: Voting for vacant posts in the National Assembly (NA) has kicked off in Madhesh Province.

Voting for the two posts in the NA from the province, which is soon to expire, began at 9 AM this morning.

The voting is currently being held at the Mahendra Nidhi Memorial Building. Members of the provincial assembly and chiefs of the local levels are currently casting their votes to elect two new members for NA from the province.

A total of 372 voters including 104 provincial assembly members and 268 peoples representatives in the province will be casting their votes today.
