Nepal records 12,008 new corona cases, 3,040 recoveries and 8 deaths
Active case tally climbs to 88,934.

KATHMANDU, Jan 25: Officials, on Tuesday, confirmed 12,008 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease on Wednesday.
As many as 9,432 cases were detected through 18,103 RT-PCR tests and 2,576 others through 7,806 tests carried out in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
With Tuesday’s tabulation, the cumulative active case tally in the country soared to 88,934.
Meanwhile, 3,040 people recovered from the disease on Tuesday taking the country’s overall recovery rate to 89.2 percent.
Eight other patients, however, died due to COVID-19 complications in the past 24 hours. Nepal has so far reported 11,667 deaths.
