Valley reports 4,676 new corona cases, 38,581 active cases in Kathmandu district alone

KATHMANDU, Jan 24: The Kathmandu Valley on Monday reported 4,676 new COVID-19 cases. 

Of the three districts in the Valley, where Nepal's federal capital city lies, Kathmandu district alone witnessed 3,634 new cases. Similarly, Lalitpur added 587 and Bhaktapur confirmed 455 new corona cases. 

According to the data released by the health ministry, Kathmandu district alone has at least 38,581 active cases of the disease. Active case tally from across the country, as of Monday afternoon, stands at 82,550. 

Active cases in two other districts have been reported as 9,051 (Lalitpur) and 5,210 (Bhaktapur).
